American Herbal Products Association Elects New Board Members
By Editorial Staff
The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA), at its annual membership meeting in Anaheim, California on March 17, elected several new members to its board of trustees. The current board is comprised of 20 individuals representing various aspects of the herbal product industry in the United States.
"AHPA's members are truly remarkable companies, and I am extremely pleased to have the opportunity to work with this group of extremely gifted individuals," enthused AHPA President Michael McGuffin.
"They strike an excellent balance between large and small botanical manufacturers and suppliers, and each should be recognized for actively serving the interests of the herbal products industry."
Beth Lambert will serve as the board's chairman. Joining her as board officers are James Fischer (vice chair), Susan Trimbo (treasurer) and Gordon Walker (secretary). Board officers will also serve on the organization's executive committee, along with board members Mitchell Coven, Edward Fletcher and Stefan Wypyszyk.
"It is an honor to serve as the board chair for the industry organization that most actively advances the responsible manufacture and sale of botanicals," Lambert said. "AHPA is working on many critical activities, including government relations, legislative activism, crisis management, consumer education, and more."
