Michael Konigsberg was awarded with the Founder's Scholarship ($1,500). Jennifer Black received the Dean's Scholarship ($1,000), and Amanda Raynor the Alumni Scholarship recipient ($500).

Acupuncture school scholarship: An essay about fulfilling the college's mission
The winners were chosen on the basis of an essay that explained their understanding of the Emperor's College mission statement and how it applies to their personal life. The mission of Emperor's College is to train brilliant healers, teachers, and leaders in Oriental medicine who create the future of health care by word, deed, and through partnership. All three scholarship recipients elaborated in their essays on how they will use their acupuncture education and skills to fulfill the college mission upon graduating.
"Chinese medicine's five pillars – nutrition, movement, meditation, acupuncture and herbs – address the whole person to pass through the healing crisis and achieve wellness. I intend to pull out all the stops in assembling comprehensive, individually-tailored protocols," writes Konigsberg in his winning essay. "I dream big, but for what else have I come to Emperor's College but to become my most superior doctor and give the best I can?"
Emperor's College awards $3,000 in scholarships each winter and summer quarter to acupuncture students who best display the mission of Emperor's College. The scholarship program encompasses three scholarships: Founder's Scholarship, Dean's Scholarship, and Alumni Scholarship. In addition to the scholarships offered by Emperor's College, students can receive study support through outside sources. More information on available scholarships and how to apply may be found on the Emperor's College scholarships web page.
