Programs Offered The American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine offers a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine degree as authorized by the state of Texas. The program is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, which is the accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners. In addition, ACAOM has become the first TCM institution in the nation to have a pain management program accredited by the American Academy of Pain Management. Students who are interested in receiving additional credential may have a subspecialty in pain management by receiving additional didactic training in pain sciences and running rounds in the ACAOM Pain Management Clinic. This program is currently optional and available to ACAOM students only.
