Acupuncture Without Borders: A team of acupuncturists from around the country is setting up a program to work with people suffering from the devastating psychological (among other) effects of Hurricane Katrina. This group is devoted to using acupuncture and the NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol for treating trauma from disasters and conflict. Donations: AAOM will collect and send 100% of the proceeds to these efforts. Checks can be mailed to the following address. In the memo column of your donation, please indicate Katrina AWB.

Jobs for Katrina Victims: AAOM's Job Board is featuring, at no cost, a job board for Katrina victims.
Many of our members have been directly or indirectly affected by Hurricane Katrina. In an effort to help the victims of the Katrina Hurricane rebuild their lives, we are participating in KatrinaJobRelief.com. This is a job board dedicated to serving the victims by helping them find new work opportunities. This service is 100% free to both job seekers and employers.
We are asking our members to spread the word about KatrinaJobRelief.com. If you have a job opportunity available, please post it to the job board. Or if you know someone that has job openings, please encourage them to use the site.
We are also asking you to help us spread the word to the victims. If you know anyone that has lost their job or needs temporary work due to the hurricane, please make them aware of this service.
Local Disaster Relief: We do recommend you contact your local Disaster Relief Center in your State, or your City, to see evaluate the local efforts that can use your support. We have found that many communities are setting up Relief Centers for Victims and will be looking for any support you can provide.
Let us Offer a Chain of Peace: In closing, let us all create a Chain of Peace (PDF) in extending our love and our support to the victims of the Katrina Hurricane.
